The Informatics Initiative hosted a debate on the hot topic of data-sharing during the 2008 NCRI Cancer Conference on 6th of October.

The debate was attended by around 100 delegates and pitched representatives from academia (Professor Sylvia Nagl, UCL), industry (Dr Tim French, AstraZeneca and Kevin Johnson, PanGenetics), funding (Peter Dukes, MRC) and publishing (Iain Hrynaszkiewicz). Each speaker gave a brief overview of the issues and challenges of data-sharing from their own perspective followed by an active debate amongst the delegates.
