NCRI Informatics Training review
The NCRI Informatics Initiative conducted a training review as one of the key requirements in achieving our vision of creating a fully integrated cancer informatics platform. The training review addresses the use of training to facilitate a cultural change within the cancer research community to embrace informatics solutions to the challenges that exist around data sharing. It also explored the mechanisms that are in place to deliver that change in the UK and provides recommendations on how the NCRI Informatics Initiative could support informatics training in the biomedical, clinical and computational fields. The primary aims of the training review were: to survey the informatics training landscape; to promote trainable standards and resources and to provide evidence and examples of training mechanisms that can support the Initiative.
